A bloom that lasts.

We build our formulas on one rule: nothing in the bottle works alone. Every ingredient listed on a Pippi and Bloom label earns its place by making another one better. That is why our oils go deeper and last longer.

Every ingredient, and what it brings.

Jojoba seed oil

liquid wax ester · closest match to the skin's own sebum · the base

The base the whole category is built on, and for good reason. Not an oil at all but a liquid wax ester, the closest common match to the skin's own sebum, so it sinks in light and settles fast. Most cuticle oils end here. Ours begins here.

Apricot kernel oil

omega-9 + omega-6 · vitamins a and e · sets the speed

Pressed from the kernel inside the apricot pit. Apricot sets the speed: the blend sinks in fast instead of sitting greasy on your hands, and what goes in with it is worth having. Omega-9 and omega-6 lipids replenish what dry skin has lost and rebuild its barrier, so it holds its own water. Skin comes out soft, supple and luminous, never greasy.

Pomegranate seed oil

punicic acid (omega-5) · found almost nowhere else · repair and renewal

One of the heroes of the blend, and our namesake. Punicic acid, its signature fatty acid, is found almost nowhere else in nature. It softens frayed cuticles on contact, calms the redness that keeps sensitized skin uncomfortable, and drives the skin's own repair, so a short-term softness becomes a change that lasts. Over time it supports the skin's own collagen and elasticity.

Liquid lanolin

ultra-refined · bio-mimetic · penetrates, then holds

The ingredient that makes the other four work harder. Lanolin is bio-mimetic, close enough to your skin's own lipids to slot into the outer layer instead of sitting on top, and it binds oil- and water-soluble ingredients together and carries them in with it. Then it holds: a breathable barrier that slows trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), the moisture skin gives up to the air, so the nourishment stays where you put it through hand-washes. Where a jojoba-only bottle fades, this stays.

Vitamin E

tocopherol · antioxidant · keeps the oils fresh

Keeps the oils fresh. Three seed oils left to themselves would slowly oxidize; vitamin E protects them, so the bottle you finish is the bottle you bought. It is here to look after the formula, and that is exactly what it does.

Together: everything after jojoba

five ingredients · one formula · absorb deeply and nourish longer

Three seed oils, lanolin, and vitamin E, formulated so each one makes another better: jojoba keeps it light, apricot sets the speed, pomegranate does the repairing, lanolin takes it deep and keeps it there, vitamin E keeps it fresh. Absorb deeply and nourish longer. In a dropper or a brush that travels.

The typical cuticle oil, next to ours.

The first three are the same everywhere, but what comes after makes the real difference.

Old ingredient. Modern grade. Still unmatched.

Sheep make lanolin to keep a fleece dry in the rain. People noticed: Greek physicians were writing it down as a skin treatment two thousand years ago, and it has been an ointment base ever since. It is the closest common cosmetic material to the lipids your skin makes for itself, and that likeness is why it does what no seed oil can.

Lanolin comes in grades, and most of them still smell like the sheep. Ours is ultra-refined, USP grade: odorless, as pure as lanolin gets, with the fractions that cause reactions refined out. We tried the options, and we were selective.

the typical cuticle oil
A drop of oil partly soaked into the top layer of a stylized cross-section of skin, the lower layers unlit

Jojoba, vitamin E, a scent. Jojoba is a fine base: it softens on contact and gets a little way into the outer skin. But its reach is shallow and nothing holds it there. It feels good for a minute, then leaves with the shine, and the next hand-wash takes the rest.

with liquid lanolin
The same cross-section with the drop absorbed, the upper layers glowing gold from within

Lanolin slots into the skin's own lipid layer and takes the rest of the formula in with it: jojoba, apricot kernel and pomegranate all work harder for being in the bottle with it. Then it stays, holding moisture through hand-washes, long after the bottle goes back in the bag.

Made on Merit.

The mark on our label means every ingredient has earned its place in the formula. We choose ingredients for their proven performance, then source them as responsibly as possible — creating products that absorb easily, nourish deeply, and provide real, lasting care for your skin.

It is also why our products are not vegan: lanolin does what nothing from a plant can, so it goes in every bottle.
